Jan. 1st

Starting 2012 off on the right foot with homemade sticky buns.

Okay, so we had these first on Christmas Day (which is when the photo was actually taken), but I made them again for New Year's breakfast for Allison to try.  Looked exactly the same and tasted amazing.

Apr. 27th

I didn't want to buy bread, so I made some. Now I know exactly what is in our bread. Not has difficult as I thought it would be. The tasting will occur once it cools.

Apr. 3rd

Easter cupcakes. Rather, strawberry-embedded vanilla cupcakes with lime icing for Easter. Except that Kyle and I ate this one. You always have to taste what you bake before serving, right? Anyway, the icing is a little more pastel green than photographed and the rest have little green sprinkles.

3.14159265358979323846...

It's pi day. So what do we do? Get a peach and raspberry pie, make some homemade vanilla frozen yogurt, and eat both.

Day 73, π, 2010.

And now, for one of my favorite Simpson's quotes, " 'Scientists, scientists please! I'm looking for some order. Some order, please, with the eyes forward and the hands neatly folded and the paying of attention... Pi is exactly 3!' *gasp!* "

Feb. 28th

Can't believe tomorrow is the first day of March already. That's pretty much it.

Here's what I made for dinner tonight. I was going for bruschetta, but it's more of a veggie & pesto pizza on seasoned flatbread. Man it was good. Only next time we're going to substitute the summer squash with fresh spinach.

I did a bit of baking yesterday before going to work, then came home and whipped up the rest. It's a chocolate sformato with amaretto whip cream.

post script- do you like the small, medium, or large photo preview the best? I can't decide.

Feb. 5th

The technical 36th day of this so-called project. My new semester of school started: it's proving to be at least twice as busy as last semester. So, you know, less time to do fun stuff. Not to mention that my free evenings and Saturdays are being swallowed by my job. That = less Kyle time. :(

So here's what I've been able to get since I last posted. Really wish there was more than there is.

Jan. 9th

A day late, I know. But I certainly took the photo last night during our Christmas taco bar in January get-together. I knew I'd earn some serious brownie points with an offering of banana bread.

Day 9, January 9th, 2010.

Even after forgetting the vanilla during the mixing process last week, it still turned out really well. I sent the rest home with fellow banana-lover, Amy.
